40 years experience practicing law in the State of California. His career has focused on civil litigation, primarily in the area of workers' compensation subrogation. Throughout his career, he has handled matters in both the state and federal court systems. In addition to the civil arena, Mr. Sarvas has experience handling particularly unique cases before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board, such as matters involving statutory credit, Serious & Willful claims, and the defense of a class action claim at the WCAB.
Mr. Sarvas has provided training and seminars to clients focused on the interaction between pending workers' compensation claims and related third party civil litigation. Such training is designed to enable the firm's clients to be ever-vigilant to recognize and assert the existence of recovery and/or statutory credit rights in order to reduce or eliminate the client's liability, which might otherwise exist.
Mr. Sarvas was born and raised in Southern California. He earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from California State University Long Beach, followed by a Juris Doctor degree from University of San Fernando Valley. He is married and has three children. Outside of his legal career, he enjoys tennis, golf, mountain bike riding and playing poker.
