7/25/09: GSS&C Partners Richard E. Guilford and Frank E. Carbonara to speak at CIGA's 2009 General Training in Sacramento, Glendale and Newport Beach (July 30 & 31 and August 14, 2009). Mr. Guilford will present a CIGA case law update discussing recent important cases on the issues of general-special employment, reimbursement claims against CIGA, EDD claims and the development of CIGA's defense against liens by assignment. Mr. Carbonara will speak to the use of clinical pharmacy reviews to mitigate liability in workers' compensation, handling Medicare Secondary Payer claims and will be joined by CIGA's MPN and UR Manager Barbara Hester to discuss CIGA's MPN litigation update.

7/23/09: GSS&C welcomes its newest associate attorney Jamie A. Blunt. Attorney Blunt has joined our workers' compensation defense department and will focus on the defense of CIGA cases.
